Cars, Batteries:
no limits on cars and batteries as long as they are available australia wide.

Tyres:
HPI Tdrifts, treaded or slicks only.
i tried tamiya super drift techs and it has too much advantage over the tdrifts. and tdrifts works well on the track.
rules here, please read but some have been simplified for this comp.
http://www.rcdriftnetwork.com/net/rule-set

Saturday:
free practice and qualifying.
practice all day.
qualifying will start at 6pm.

Sunday:
D1 comp group a will start at 8am followed by group b.
group a and b will battle indoors.
please have your cars ready 2 battles prior to your own as there will be a 10 second countdown and you will be disqualified.

we will put a cap on the event on 64 people and split the event in 2 groups. 32 in each group.

qualifying will be marked out on the track and there will be 5 spots max of 3 point and judge can give out of 10 extra points for linking corners and all that kinda jazz.

we will follow how the rcdrift networks qualifying positions to match the drivers for the d1 comp.

d1 comp. we will have 4 judges. 2 on the lead car and 2 on the chase car.

there will be 10 judges. 5 from nsw and 5 interstate so it will be fair on everyone and the final judging cant be ruled as biased.

once the judges have been chosen, i will explain to them on how the judging will be made and we will do a couple of mock up comps for them to do so everyone is on thesame page.

registration and final payment will finish a week prior to the event so if anyone decides to back off, we still have time to fill in the spots.

1st 2nd and 3rd prizes and a trophy for group a and b. there will be a lucky door prize and best shell prize.

and at the end of the event, we will battle out the top 4 of group a and top 4 of group b podium finishers to find out who will be the drift king and he also will get a prize and a drift king trophy.

there will be a body of the comp award. you have to use this body for the comp and there will be a prize and trophy for this as well.

**PLEASE** if you have questions, pm me and i will answer yor questions as best as i can.

and if you have nothing else better to do but fill this thread with rubbish, choose a different forum.

i will update this if something changes.

payment is non refundable so you have to commit to be there to compete. once payment have been made, fill out the registration form and post it on this thread.
on payment, please have your full name so we know who have paid. i will touch base with harlan every afternoon so i can update the thread on whos paid.

dont worry, your $35 will be well spent if you won, still waiting confirmation on 2 sponsors for the event.

i could say that you could win a set of wheel nuts but once everything has been cleared up, i will post up the prizes.

by the way, both potential sponsors are well known world wide.

again please be patient as it is still being finalised. will inform you guys on what the prizes are going to be on what size the trophies are going to be for 1st to 3rd and pictures of the trophies for shell of the comp award and interstate drift king.

It is highly recommended to have a single control tire for each class. Differences between tires can lead to speed and handling differences between cars. A control tire becomes the great equalizer allowing any motor to be used. Driver skill and chassis setup become the main emphasis.
